Jesus Christ said 8 things that are recorded in the Bible while He hung on the cross dying for our sins. What were they?
Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. The cross was a large cross made of wood that was used to execute criminals during Roman times 2,000 years ago. Even though Jesus had done no wrong, He was sentenced and condemned to death and He died to pay the penalty for our sins. While He hung on the cross dying, there are 8 things that the Bible records He said.
He said:
“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
“Woman, behold Your Son.” (spoken to Mary His mother)
“Behold, your mother.” (spoken to the apostle John)
“Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.” (spoken to the thief on
the cross who believed in Jesus)
“My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
“I thirst.”
“It is finished.”
“Father, into Your hands I commit My Spirit.”
