Faith is enormously important in the Christian life.
The Bible says, “Without faith it is impossible to please God.” So we must have faith to please God.
The Bible also says “By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.” So we are saved by God’s grace through faith.
The Bible says of Abraham the patriarch, that he believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness. So because of Abraham’s faith he was counted as righteous.
Mary was blessed when she believed the angel that God would give her the Son Jesus even though she was a virgin.
The Bible says “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him would not perish but would have everlasting life.” So it is by our belief – by our faith – that we inherit the promise of eternal life.
Would you like to have faith? Ask God for help and choose to believe God. Read God’s Word the Bible – for the Bible says that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. And ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit once you have received Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord and ask the Holy Spirit to increase your faith.
