For over 2,000 years now, people have been accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. In the Bible, what happened when someone accepted Christ?
Here's one example of what happened when a man got saved in Acts 8...
1. Confess Jesus Is Lord
Philip was ministering to an Ethiopian man by sharing the story of Jesus. The man was moved and confessed that Jesus is Lord. And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” Acts 8:37
2. Get Baptized in Water
After the Ethiopian believed, Philip baptized him right there. There wasn't an elaborate church ceremony - it was simple and immediate. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. Acts 8:38
3. Rejoicing!
The new Christian man rejoiced! No other details were given, but we know that he went on his way rejoicing. Meeting Jesus fills us with a joy like no other we've ever known! Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing. Acts 8:39
