Even once we are saved it can be hard not to dwell on our past and the mistakes we have made. Sometimes, it can seem almost impossible that God has really forgiven us of all that we have done and we are no longer slaves to our sin. In such times it is good to remember this verse:
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:1
Christ has set us free, not to be burdened down by the weight of our sins, but to live freely for Him! Of course, we do have a part in this we must STAND FIRM. It can be easy for us to fall back into old habits and then feel incredibly guilty for it. Stand firm and remember that you have been set free!
