The world can be a scary place, full of frightening unknowns. God gives us hope in Jesus, to take heart in the face of dark times!
Have you ever stayed up late at night with a mind full of worries?
How will I make enough money for my family? Who will love me? What if I get really sick? Am I safe from violence? No matter where you live, the worries can seem unending. If we let ourselves, we get buried with never-ending fears. In the midst of these fears, God's promises are like bright sparks of hope.
5 Sparks of Hope from God...
1. God will never leave you.
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5
2. God will never stop doing good for you.
“I will never stop doing good for them. I will put a desire in their hearts to worship me, and they will never leave me.” Jeremiah 32:40
3. Jesus prepared an eternal, heavenly home for you.
"There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?" John 14:2
4. God cares about you and everything that troubles you.
"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:6-7
5. God hears AND answers our prayers.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?" Matthew 7:7-9
My Prayer of Hope for YOU...
Dear Father, Will You show your precious child that You are near? Be close, as You promised. Thank You for Your kindness toward us that never ends. I pray that YOU would take each fear and replace it with the hope we find in Your word. Thank You that we get to spend eternity with You!
