The Bible talks about the "Armor of God." What is God's armor for us and how can it help and protect us?
Paul in Ephesians chapter 6 tells us to put on:
The Helmet of Salvation
The Shield of Faith, wherewith we can quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one
The Breastplate of Righteousness -- we are righteous in Jesus!
Having our loins Girded about with Truth
Taking up the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God
Having our Feet Shod with the Preparation of the Gospel of Peace
This is spiritual armor, not physical armor. Our battle is not physical, so it is spiritual.
The key to the armor of God is Jesus Christ. It is His righteousness in which we stand! It is His truth! So each and every day, put on the armor of God so that you may stand strong against spiritual attacks and so that you may have victory in Jesus!
