It's not easy to work for peace in our family relationships or in our community, but as Christians, we are called to it. Are you ready for the fruit that comes from peacemaking?
The Promise of God's Presence
2 Corinthians 13:11 - Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
The Promise of Reward and Adoption
Luke 6:35 - But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.
The Promise of Righteousness
James 3:18 - And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
Friends, these are good gifts that enrich our communities and our own souls. This world encourages us to live for ourselves and to take what we want. Let us instead follow in Jesus' footsteps and lay down our lives.
