There are many promises of God in the Bible. While not every single promise in the Bible is meant for everyone there are MANY that are! We receive these promises through Christ. "For all the promises of God are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him, our “Amen” is spoken to the glory of God." 2 Corinthians 1:20
One promise from the Old Testament is when God promised Joshua, "I will never leave you or forsake you” (Joshua 1:5) and in Hebrews 13:5 God transfers that promise to us as Christians.
These are just some of the many promises of God.
He promises- to meet our every need,
always be there when we seek Him,
His peace and comfort,
forgiveness of ALL of our sins and that we will be with Him for eternity!
How do we claim these promises and more?
Here are 3 simple steps to claiming the promises of God:
1. Learn- study and memorize the promises of God
2. Meditate- see your need for God's promises and tell Him
3. Apply- give God time to work in your everyday experiences. Remember, He works in His timeframe, not ours.
