How can God break through my sadness?

Psalms 42:11 Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.

Psalms 37:3-4 Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. 

Psalms 3:3 But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.

Father God, I put my hope in you. You know my disappointment, you know my worn out heart. I take my eyes off my trouble, and I look to you, the author of my life and my eternal home. I put my trust in you instead of money, instead of people. Help me to enjoy being with you, with delighting in your presence. You are my protector and the one who lifts my head. I will satisfy myself in all that you are. In Jesus' name, amen.
