There is only one way to get to heaven, and that is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior. We are to ask forgiveness for our sins, knowing that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins.
Some people may say you have to be good enough to go to heaven, but that is impossible. None of us are perfect; “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Jesus Christ said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father (God) except through Me.” The Bible says “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him would not perish but would have everlasting life.”
So if you want to go to heaven when you die, and to be a child of God, remember A – B – C.
A = Ask Jesus Christ to be your Savior
B = Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as God and the Son of God who died for your sins.
C = Confess your sins to God and ask His forgiveness and His help in turning from your sins.
