We all want the guilt of our sins to be washed away. How can this happen?
We all want our sins to be forgiven. Around the world, many people are aware of this; some wash in rivers hoping to be cleansed.
Yet sin is not external, it is internal -- it rots our souls. God sent His Son Jesus Christ so that whoever believes in Him would not perish, but would have eternal life. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, part of that is asking God's forgiveness for the sins we have committed. God is willing to forgive us and the penalty has been paid by Jesus Christ.
So you do not need to pay a fine; you do not need to be punished; you do not need to wait many year; God has forgiven you in Jesus Christ when you ask forgiveness and receive Jesus Christ! So let us ask His help by the power of the Holy Spirit to turn from our sins and walk in God's path and plan going forward. We can walk in the joy of knowing our sins have been forgiven in His name.
