When Thomas was told by the other disciples that Jesus was alive, he did not believe them. In fact, he said the only way he would believe that Jesus had risen from the dead was by touching His wounds and putting his hand into His side.
What was Jesus' response? Jesus could have just left Thomas in the dark. He could have refused to give him the "proof" that he wanted and let him suffer for his unbelief. He didn't though. Jesus invited Thomas to touch His wounds and Thomas immediately believed! I think many of us can be a bit like Thomas. I know I'm a second-guesser. Sometimes, it is hard to believe without seeing, but Jesus gently takes us by the hand and leads us, knowing what it is we each need to believe. Aren't you thankful that when doubt creeps in Jesus responds to us in love?
