Satan whispers to us that we are not worthy, that God doesn't love us, or that He doesn't care. He will tell us whatever lies he can in hopes that we will believe him and abandon our faith. How can we fight the lies that we hear in our own minds?
"Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." 1 Peter 5:8
The number one way to fight a lie is to know the truth! We must focus on God's truth by reading His word. When we read the Bible, we see God's faithfulness throughout time and that He is true to His word. Knowing what God's truth is, will save us from falling prey to the lies of the devil.
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Proverbs 30:5
