Jesus Christ is far greater than a prophet – He is the unique and only Savior, the Son of God.
There are many prophets talked about in the Holy Bible. Moses was a prophet who spoke the word of God. Samuel was a prophet. Abraham was a holy man of God. Isaiah was a prophet.
But there were two things all these prophets had in common. One was, they were men. They were not God. They died. The second was, God anointed them for a specific task and gave them His words to speak.
Jesus Christ is totally different. While He was a man, He was also divine – He was and is God! God was His Father, and the Virgin Mary was His mother here on earth. He lived a sinless life, and when it was His time to die He gave His life for the sins of the world.
After Jesus died, He rose from the dead on the third day and now is with God the Father in heaven. Jesus is far more than a prophet – He is the Holy Son of God, our Savior and Lord who will one day return to rule the earth. Praise to God!
