Do you know what the greatest love story of all time is? It is the love story between God and the human race! Between a father and his imperfect children who fail time and time again, yet he is there guiding them and loving them through it all. He never gives up on us and his love for us never changes. Nothing can separate us from the love of God if we are in Christ Jesus.
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
God does not limit his love for us! He does not only give us gifts a couple of times a year; we can see and feel his love every day of our lives! God is good and God is love. Every good thing comes from him! It is because of God's love that we feel the warmth of the sun and the coolness of a shade tree. It is because of his love that we can smell the sweet scent of flowers and our favorite foods cooking. It is because of his love that we have family, friends, and more blessings than we can count. It is his because of his great love for us that we have been given the ultimate gift of salvation and spending eternity with him!
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:10
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
It is important that we remember that even if we do not have a significant other to celebrate earthly holidays with, we have a Heavenly Father whose love for us surpasses the stars and we are part of a love story that will never end!
