The Bible encourages us to put on the armor of God. What is the armor of God?
The apostle Paul encourages us in the Bible to put on the whole armor of God. He then gives a specific picture of the armor of God. It is:
- The helmet of salvation -- we are saved in Jesus!
- The breastplate of righteousness -- we are righteous in Jesus!
- The shield of faith, with which we can quench all the arrows of the enemy!
- Our loins girded about with truth -- Jesus is the truth!
- Have our feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace -- be ready to tell others about Jesus!
- Take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God -- the Word of God in the power of the Holy Spirit is our powerful weapon!
So each day, let us put on the armor of God!
