Is Jesus just a prophet or a good man,
or is He so much more?
People all over the world honor Jesus Christ. However, some just honor Him as a holy man or as a prophet of God.
But Jesus Christ is much, much more than that. Jesus Christ is God! He is the Son of God who came to earth to die on the cross to pay for the sins of the world.
Colossians 2:9 - For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form
Jesus Christ has existed from the beginning of time. He is one with God the Father and the Holy Spirit. There is only one God in 3 Persons -- God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 3:16-17 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
When He came to this earth, He came to teach people about God, but He was much more than a teacher. He was God here on earth. At the end of His life, He willingly went to the cross to die on the cross, even though He was without sin. He paid the penalty for our sins so that all who would repent and believe in Him could be saved and forgiven.
Revelation 5:12 In a loud voice they were saying: "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!"
