God Is Your Heavenly Father

The greatest news in the whole world is that God -- the God of the entire universe -- loves you and wants to be your heavenly Father! Here are some ways that can impact your life.

God is in heaven.  He is the creator of the universe and has all power and wisdom and knowledge. He is infinitely greater than us, and we should have great awe and respect and reverence for Him.

At the same time, God loves us! And He wants to be our heavenly Father. When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He taught them to say "Our Father Who is in heaven." He could have told His disciples that God was Jesus' Father, but He included them in the prayer!

Just as a good earthly father loves his children and provides for them, how much more does your Father in heaven love you and want to provide for you! When you and I accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, we become children of God.

God also wants to hear your prayers, your needs, and your concerns. He loves you and asks us to bring Him our prayer requests. Sometimes we may feel foolish talking with God about the small things of our lives, but He loves to have us come to Him as our heavenly Father!

So talk with God. Spend time with God! Learn to listen to Him. When Adam and Eve were on earth, God would spend time with them. He loves you and wants to spend time with you!
