In this world, we all want to have peace. But there are two kinds of peace. One is external peace – peace with our neighbors, peace with family members, peace among nations. These are good to pray for, but on this earth, we may not always have external peace.
The second kind of peace is internal peace – peace within our hearts – peace with God. We can live in this kind of peace through our Lord Jesus Christ living in our hearts and lives.
When we ask Jesus Christ to be our Savior and Lord, He comes and lives in our hearts and lives through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bible says “He is our peace.”
Even though the world around us may be crumbling, God can grant us His peace in our hearts through Jesus Christ. The Bible says one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit in our lives is God’s peace.
The Bible also says in the book of Philippians, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, that passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
